Chris D. Callen, PRESIDENT

Chris Callen has been assisting his clients with thier insurance planning  since 1981. He began focusing on the insurance needs of professionals over 30 years ago. His firm is based near Columbus, Ohio and he is insurance licensed in all states including Alaska and Hawaii.

His unique “Focus Strategy Approach” sales system provides a comprehensive insurance analysis that incorporates all areas of both personal and business life and health insurance needs. Chris has co-authored three dental practice management books and is routinely published in popular professional publications and online newsletters.

Chris is a Vietnam veteran where he served with both the101st Airborne Infantry and 4th Infantry units. He is a member of the International Who's Who of Entrepreneurs. He currently serves as the post bugler for memorial events and funerals at his local VFW post. Chris is married to Lynn Callen, and together they have two adult children and four dogs.  Please hit this link to view Chris' professional biography.

Lynn Callen, ASSISTANT TO CHRIS D. CALLEN

Lynn holds a Master’s Degree in Education and  is employed by the  Columbus Public Schools system specializing in Special Education for high school students. When not working in the school system Lynn provides valuable services to the firm in the capacity as Chris Callen’s personal assistant. 

She takes care of the day-to-day tasks that tend to eat up a day of valuable work. 

Lynn is married to Chris Callen, with two adult children, and is a dog lover who rescues pound dogs, as evidenced by the four dogs that live in their home.

Connie Mitchell, OFFICE MANAGER

Connie joined the firm in 1993.  She has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Her focus for the past 18 years has been working with dental professionals.  Her work is more than just a job.

Every day is a new opportunity to assist our clients in strengthening their insurance portfolios, and Connie finds it a constant reward to help our clients obtain top quality products for their profession. As a licensed agent, Connie has expertise in all aspects of the insurance application and underwriting process. To achieve the best outcome for her clients, Connie is very creative in her approach with our carriers' decision-making teams. 

Connie and her staff enjoy creating nothing but a positive experience for their clients. Connie’s success rests in her deep belief in what she does, and in the integrity of the staff she manages. In her leisure time Connie enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, her three grown children and their spouses.

Last, but not least, if you want to find Connie on a fall day in Ohio, it will be watching her favorite college football team, the Ohio State Buckeyes. O-H-I-O, Go Bucks!

Jeff Mitchell, CASE PREPARATION MANAGER

Jeff concentrates on developing strategies to assist our clients with their insurance planning needs. Over the past decade, he’s worked with hundreds of dentists across the country to implement their customized insurance portfolios.

With10+ years of experience in the sales and service fields with Chris D.  Callen, Insurance Agent, Jeff continues to focus on the details needed to bring a personal plan from vision to implementation.  Prior to joining Chris Callen’s firm, Jeff worked in various sales, service and management positions.

He also served in the Air National Guard before being honorably discharged. He focused his efforts on the insurance market when joining this firm in 1999 and is a licensed agent.

Matt Mitchell, SALES MANAGER

Matt has been with Chris D. Callen, Insurance Agent since 1999.  He specializes in the implementation of insurance products and services for new and existing clients.  Matt believes that value is the most important aspect of a client's insurance portfolio and that quality oftentimes must be balanced with cost. 

He also believes it is necessary that our clients understand their insurance contracts. A fully informed client will make wise decisions on what they should and should not have. Matt's outside passion is basketball and he serves as Girl's Varsity Assistant Coach at Dublin Coffman High School in Dublin, Ohio.

Jean Mitchell, CLIENT SERVICE MANAGER

Jean Mitchell likes being in the business of people. She is the kind voice you will hear on the phone when you call to make an appointment or need to make changes to your policy. Jean is also the voice you hear when it is time to schedule your client reviews. 

Jean takes great delight in trying to find solutions to any insurance question, and enjoys making our clients' insurance portfolios more manageable. Jean has spent 10 years working with people in the insurance field, serving for  three years as benefits coordinator for a domestic airline, and 7 years managing the client services department for Chris D. Callen, Insurance Agent. 

She is a 2002 graduate of The Ohio State University, and enjoys cheering on the Buckeyes with her husband, Matt.

Sean Hall – DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

Sean Hall has spent the past 20 years in Corporate Management and Client Acquisition Services. Beyond the initial client introduction, Sean works to maintain those relationships throughout their lifetime. Sean has provided for the infrastructure needs of the largest Fortune 500 Companies in the world, and managed multiple regional offices across the United States. Sean manages our marketing resources establishing new relationships across many business sectors with his primary focus on dentistry.

Sean is married and has three children and is an avid motorcycle enthusiast and with his wife Jennifer, enjoys taking trips throughout the country on his Harley Davidson and visiting many historical sites.

Anamika Lodh

Anamika Lodh (Ann) – CASE PREPARATION SPECIALIST

Ann has earned a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Mumbai, India in 2005.  After graduation, Anamika worked in the credit card division of ICICI Bank Limited, India’s largest private sector bank.  Anamika also earned her MBA degree specializing in Finance from Mumbai Educational Trust, Mumbai, India, 2008.  While studying for her MBA, she Interned with the Bombay Stock Exchange in Mumbai, India.  Anamika is a member of the United Nations Association-USA Columbus Chapterand Toastmaster International. 

She loves volunteering for different organizations in the non-profit sector.  Some of her other interests include reading, writing, traveling, and photography

Laure Takach, CLIENT SERVICE SPECIALIST

Laure has been in the Client Service field for 21 years, first as the Division Coordinator for a large home building company in Columbus and now with the office of Chris D. Callen, Insurance Agent. Laure enjoys helping people and making our clients' insurance portfolios more manageable. 

Laure and her husband, Mike, have three young children. She loves watching her children play sports and participate in plays at church.

Kaley Schwartzwalder, ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT 

Kaley is a recent addition to the Chris D. Callen, Insurance Agent team. Kaley'sresponsibilities are primarily assisting our office manager, Connie Mitchell, with her duties. Kaley works part-time and manages the shredding of all office documents. Kaley is a lifelong resident of Westerville, Ohio. She is known for spreading her abundant enthusiasm wherever she goes. Kaley’s love for music has given her many opportunities to sing for various community groups. It is her dream to record a music CD someday!

Emma-Louise Bussey, BOOKEEPER

Emma-Louise Bussey has been assigned to provide onsite bookkeeping services for Benefits Advisory Group and Chris D. Callen Insurance Agent since 2002. She is a contract employee who owns EJB Hancock's Business Services Corporation (EJBH), whose staff has over 40 years of business administration.

This includes direct experience in the fields of management consultant, vice president/treasurer of a 501(c)3 organization, administrator of a 501(c)6 business, Division of Revenue engineer for a multi-billion dollar corporation, communications design engineering, author of maintenance procedures for mini-computers [state-wide networks], trucking industry professional, proficient on multiple accounting software, and a variety of tax preparations. Gary Tucker, MAINTAINENCE & CORPORATE DRIVER

Gary is a retired professional construction manager. Gary also spent 20 years as a lead technician at a local auto conversion business.

Gary is responsible for all remodeling and ongoing repairs in our building as well as the designated driver for Chris Callen and other corporate functions.

Dale Sydnor, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST

Dale is the hardware technology installation and repair expert.  Dale is a contracted technician with over 25 years of computer technology experience. 

Dale holds all of the major industry IT certifications.  Dale has been affiliated with Chris D. Callen, Insurance Agent for over 13 years.

Jim is the software technology installation and repair expert.  Jim is a contracted technician with over 20 years of computer technology experience.

Meana

Meana, CORPORATE SECURITY

Meana is one of Chris and Lynn Callen's dogs and was purchased for the purpose of office security and protection. Meana is a highly- trained German Sheppard from East Berlin. Both her parents are in the top five Schutzhund 3 rated dogs in the world.  Meana is trained in both German and English. In addition to providing corporate security, she is a faithful companion for both Chris, Lynn and the staff of Chris D. Callen, Insurance Agent.
